NATIONAL CONSULTANT – INFECTION PREVENTION CONTROL (SSA – 7)
(one year – with possibility of extension)

This position is responsible to provide support to the implementation of Infection
Prevention and Control activity, ensuring adherence to core standards, and WHO
recommendations on infection prevention and control, including but not limited to
development of IPC capacity and practices assessment tools in hospitals and
health care facilities, and development of monitoring and evaluation framework for
measuring progress of implementation of activities related to epidemic and
pandemic diseases.

NATIONAL CONSULTANT – EPIDEMIOLOGIST (SSA – 7)
(one year – with possibility of extension)

This position is responsible to provide technical guidance, support and assistance
for the strengthening national system of routine reporting for priority diseases
under surveillance, and development of comprehensive and sustainable
communicable disease surveillance systems, including special surveys and
estimation/projection of disease incidence, prevalence and at risk populations.
This position is also expected to review, monitor and evaluates communicable
disease surveillance and control programmes, especially for communicable
diseases through field visits, laboratory assessments, data collection, surveys and
surveillance reports, and identifies the need for changes in strategies/tactics and
to makes appropriate recommendations.

The Candidates:
Candidate is desirable to have minimum Master’s degree in Public Health or
Epidemiology or Post-graduate training in health management information system,
clinical / operational research on communicable diseases, or epidemiological
surveillance, with minimum 5 (five) years of relevant working experience in
Public Health or Epidemiology. Certification in Applied/ Field Epidemiology Training
Programme is a plus.

Successful candidate will be offered an attractive remuneration package based on
WHO Country Office for Bangladesh SSA Salary Scale, according to qualifications
and experience.
